Review: Three To Play by Kris Cook

Short after his last release Kris Cook surprised us with a re-release of one of his early works, THREE TO PLAY.  Even though I haven’t been reading a ménage in ages, or better said anything with a female involved, I just had to get this book.  Well I mean, if Kris Cook is written on the cover, a Kris Cook romance is what you’ll get, right. Boy was I wrong! This book had been absolutely different from everything I’ve been reading from this author so far. It was one STEAMY, HOT read, which made a cold shower necessary.

From the beginning the sexually tension between the main characters had been physically perceptible. Starting off on the wrong foot Clint and Beth first have to come to terms with their undeniable attraction and deep buried wants before getting anywhere. They are nowhere like the easy going Dustin, the self-confident, calm and absolutely unshakable dream of a man, or so it seems until shit hits the fan….

The sex scenes truly fogged up my kindle! The first tension of the trouple was released in a very hot MFM threesome, followed by some hot MF BDSM parts and incredible shower sex. The long awaited MMF and man on man action between Clint and Dustin sure was worth the wait and to be honest, I wouldn’t have minded at all to be the sexy woman between those two hot studs… Well, a woman can dream, right! ;D

Even though I’m more at home in the MM genre I’ve enjoyed this book immensely and sure would be up for another ride in this genre. Well done Kris Cook and thank you once more for a wonderful book!

Three To Play by Kris Cook

They were best friends and the hottest duo on the airwaves…

…and then they met her.

Clint Moore and Dustin Lake, both 30, are close to realizing their dream of landing a job in NYC radio. Their friendship and careers are all that matters. No woman will ever come between them, even though they have shared a few women. Clint and Dustin believe that this latest gig in Dallas, Texas will be the last stop before the Big Apple.

One problem, the station demands they include the current announcer in the show...

About to turn forty, Beth Taylor feels like her whole world is about to fall apart. She’s very aware of Clint and Dustin’s reputation. The hotshots do increase ratings but they also get people fired. She will not let that happen to her. Best to set the ground rules early. But from the moment she meets Clint and Dustin, Beth realizes…

Not only is she risking her job, she’s risking so much more.

During a private celebration, things heat up between the three of them and secret desires began to bubble up.

THREE TO PLAY is a super-steamy standalone MMF May-Dec bisexual ménage romance with explicit scenes of MM, MF and MMF. HEA Guaranteed.

This book is an updated reissue of a 2009 release.

Review: Sight Unseen by Susan Mac Nicol and Nicholas Downs

How would you feel if waking up to a nightmare of never ending darkness, scared and alone. The best days of your relationship long gone, at the mercy of a uncaring, self centered boyfriend, who just won't see you as the man you once were. Abandoned 12 years ago for being gay, by the people where would have been supposed to love you the most. The only man never leaving your side, being your rock and light in all the dark, your best friend since childhood days. If there just wouldn't be the big elefant in the room that could destroy everything even more....

That's exactly how Sight Unseen begins, a epic love story about two men, both are suffering from decision made 12 years ago. This book also is a lot about second chances, second chances in life and love. The other day I've seen a question asked from another author at facebook about second chances and wasn't to sure how to answer. Now, after reading this wonderful book I would say; when life and love are giving us second chances, who are we then to decline something that could lead to be the best thing of our life.

Susan Mac Nicol is one of the authors on my auto buy list, so I'm already familiar with her writing. This book had been different, though. Personally I think it's the best book she ever wrote and she's outdone herself. Not only had she to write from a blind, gay man's perspective, she also had to write in a complete different slang. Like I already said; for me the story itself had been epic and therefore I can't wait to see it hopefully soon on screen, with Nicolas Downs in the leading role.

Thank you Susan Mac Nicol, for this most wonderful book of yours, which I enjoyed reading emensly!

Tragedy brings together a reserved but brilliant sculptor and an outgoing gallery owner, friends whose love was sidetracked—but was always meant to be deeper.

SoCal natives, Nate and Cody have been friends since childhood. Both knew they were different—and the same. At seventeen, a stolen weekend in the Florida Keys drove their connection deeper and hotter than either could imagine. They were meant to be together. Then, for reasons only Nate knows, suddenly they weren’t.

They’re still friends. Best friends. But they’ve moved on and found other partners. The yearning remains, however, despite the long-ago secret that drove them apart, and when tragedy strikes, both men find themselves in the dark. They must grope their way back to who and what they are...which they will find in each other’s arms. Sometimes, losing one’s sight can open one’s eyes—and heart.

My Review: Dyed and Gone to Heaven by Aimee Nicole Walker

The third book in Aimee Nicole Walker’s Curl Up and Dye Mystery Series once more gifted me with a few hours of exquisite reading pleasure. I’ve been amazed by so many things in this book, but the biggest joy was to read how far Josh had come, in the short amount of time, since he’d been with his very own and sexy Detective Delicious, or whatever name Josh had seen fitting at that very moment… Sure, there had been still those moments where the ugly head of Josh’s old insecurity had a short presence, but it didn’t take long and the world was back in apple pie order.

Detective Smooth Talker, slowly taking over Josh’s snark had been good for the most hilarious moments at times, even without skinny jeans… The softer side of Gabe when being with Josh had me swooning, the deep love, the trust and understanding between those two men was heartwarming. Seeing as there had been a few dubious, new characters in this book, the suspense packed Mystery side sure didn’t miss out either and kept me on my toes till the surprising end, solved conscientious by Gabe.

Following the hints this wonderful author had been given us over the last two-hundred- sixty-some pages, we sure can look forward to a another amazing, surprise packed read, before those two beautiful men will get their well-deserved HEA. Even though the end of their story is near, I’m happy to hopefully soon after “I Do Or Dye Trying” to be able to dig into Dr. Dimples and Chaz’s long awaited story.

Thank you Aimee Nicole Walker for this absolute amazing read!

Review: A Mockingbird Place Bundle: 6 Gay Romances + Bonus Material by Kris Cook

Here I am, sitting on a bench at the river and musing what to say about this wonderful series, something that I didn’t say already. I’m a big fan of this series and its author, always was, so I really enjoyed re-reading all this awesome stories. Every story has their own heroes, or should I say survivors, wonderful men that had to endure so much in their young life’s, outcast by their families or society, sent on a long suffering road to recover from their past. Blood isn’t thicker as water, LOVE is! In every one of those 6 books you can feel the love, the healing energy which is never to far when you live in an apartment at Mockingbird Place. How I would love to live there myself, as one of the Mockingbird Place residents, in a community where you're not just a tenant, where you're an important part of a big, loving family of friends. It wouldn’t make much sense to repead my reviews for all of the six books here, but you can find them at and, if you are interested.

The bonus material was as wonderful as the books are, I've been reading it with a laughing and an crying eye. There had been so many happy moments with all my beloved characters, but on the other hand my heart was bleeding for the lgbt youth and how badly a lot of those kids had been treated. I really would like to know if Kris Cook is considering to gift us with a Lifeline Ranch related Mockingbird Place spinoff.... Not only would I love to see how our former Mockingbird Place couples are doing, I also would love to read a lot more about those kids and I'm sure I'm not the only one thinking so.

The bottom line is that it was a wonderful collection from the first six books of the series with fantastic bonus material, which left me wanting more. Thank you Kris Cook, for being such an amazing Storyteller!

If you are interested to read this wonderful collection yourself, now is the time to get it, because it's still on sale for 99 Cents until April 17. #finalcountdown
